Version 1 · Effective 14 July 2026
Driver Platform, Safety and Acceptable Use Policy
Operational rules for location, communication, data, safety and platform integrity.
Location and availability
Quartz collects live driver location only while the driver is online or assigned to an active job. It is used for matching, ETAs, job progress, safety, fraud prevention and disputes. Tracking stops on offline, sign-out, loss of permission or compliance restriction unless an active-job completion exception applies. Raw GPS is normally retained 90 days.
Monitoring and ratings
We use quote, acceptance, cancellation, response, rating, complaint, payment, device-security and communication information to operate the marketplace. Metrics are contextual evidence, not automatic proof of misconduct. Significant outcomes receive human review.
Communication and personal data
Keep job communication in the platform when practical. Use customer information only for the booked service and related lawful obligations. Do not export it for marketing, share it, sell it or retain it longer than needed. Report accidental disclosure immediately.
Job and vehicle safety
- Read the full specification before quoting and verify lawful carrying capacity.
- Maintain your own motor insurance per truck, MOT, driving licence and public liability insurance.
- Use correct loading, restraint, lighting and roadside safety equipment.
- Do not transport passengers unless separately agreed and lawfully insured, seated and safe.
- Dash cameras are recommended where used lawfully with appropriate notice and retention.
Acceptable use
Do not manipulate GPS, interfere with another driver, probe platform security, upload malware, spam, mislead customers, evade payment, create duplicate identities or use the platform for unlawful activity. Security research must be reported to support and must not access other people’s data.
Investigations
Quartz may preserve evidence, request information and temporarily restrict relevant activity during a safety, fraud or legal investigation. Payout holds and permanent removal follow the Driver Platform Agreement’s notice, evidence, human-review and appeal protections.
